CCTV news: The reporter learned from the China Coal Industry Association that in the first half of this year, the average daily output of industrial raw coal above designated size reached 13.07 million tons, the second highest in the same period in history. Coal continues to play its role as the ballast stone of the main energy source.

The temperature in most parts of the country is higher than the same period of the year, and some areas have experienced periodic high-temperature heat waves.In order to actively respond to extreme climate and ensure coal supply during peak summer, the coal industry has given full play to the advantages of large-scale modern coal mines and intelligent coal mines, and the country's coal production and supply have been stable and orderly.

Zhang Hong, vice president of the China Coal Industry Association, said that from the perspective of major coal-consuming industries, coal-fired power generation increased by about 3% year-on-year in the first six months, playing an important role in ensuring peak summer weather, peak power generation, and ensuring supply.Chemical coal use increased by 7.3% year-on-year, driving a steady increase in coal consumption demand.

Experts said that in the second half of the year, my country's macro-economy will continue to maintain steady and rapid growth, "AI+" application scenarios will become more and more extensive, and big data and computing power will continue to increase rapidly, driving the continued growth of energy consumption demand.
