According to the China Review News Agency, among the 30 seats on the executive committee, the "Pan-Lai Qingde Faction" won 20 seats and the "Non-Lai Faction" held 10 seats.Among them, the "New Trend" holds 9 seats, making it the faction with the most seats in the DPP.Among the "non-Lai clique", there are 4 seats from the "Tsai Ing-wen clique", 3 seats from the "Su Tseng-chang clique", 2 seats from the public opinion representative Chen Tingfei system, and 1 seat from the Kaohsiung mayor Chen Qimai system.
Some comments say that the distribution of executive committee seats in the Democratic Progressive Party is regarded as one of the important indicators for observing the strength of factions within the party.
According to the regulations within the Democratic Progressive Party, after the National Congress elects 30 Central Executive Committee members, the Central Executive Committee will elect 10 Central Standing Committee members and another 11 Central Committee judges, and the Central Committee judges will select the chairman of the evaluation committee from each other.
Taiwan's "United Daily News" reported that among the 10 Central Standing Committee members voted for by the Democratic Progressive Party, there are 7 seats from the "Pan-Lai faction" including Lin Junxian and Jian Shupei, and 3 seats from the "Non-Lai faction" including Wang Shijian; Qiu Zhiwei from the "Lai faction" was elected as the chairman of the Central Committee.
