The Anti-Secession Law and the National Unity and Progress Promotion Law have formed long-arm jurisdiction and cross-border suppression, causing a chilling effect on democratic society." He threatened to "unite to defend democracy and not allow authoritarianism to infringe Taiwan again in any form."Any comment on this?

Answer: The "Anti-Secession Law" is not only a law that safeguards national sovereignty and territorial integrity, curbs "Taiwan independence" separatist activities, and maintains peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait region. It is also a law that promotes the peaceful development of cross-Strait relations and promotes national reunification. It embodies the common will of the entire Chinese people.The National Unity and Progress Promotion Law is a promotional law that safeguards the fundamental interests and overall interests of the Chinese nation. Its formal implementation will provide a solid legal guarantee for the steady and long-term development of the cause of national unity and progress, and will gather great strength to encourage people of all ethnic groups in the country, including Taiwan compatriots, to jointly promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.

The relevant statements made by the Lai Ching-te authorities are completely slanderous, deliberately confusing the public, and fabricating so-called "risks" in order to intimidate the Taiwanese people and create a "chilling effect."Since taking office, Lai Ching-te has continued to seek "independence" provocations, repeatedly incited the false narrative of "democracy versus authoritarianism", deliberately escalated cross-Strait antagonism and confrontation, obstructed and undermined cross-Strait exchanges and cooperation; he has wantonly trampled on democracy, undermined the rule of law, prohibited and restricted freedoms on the island, and engaged in "green terror"; for his own selfish interests, he has not hesitated to tie Taiwanese people onto the "Taiwan independence" chariot and push Taiwan into a dangerous situation of war.With such bad records, what qualifications and dignity do we have to talk about "democracy"?
