On the morning of the 9th, the Chinese Navy’s 83rd Ship Fleet concluded its four-day goodwill visit to Vietnam and set sail from the Lotus Port Pier in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to continue its mission of a comprehensive internship visit to distant seas.
At around 10 a.m., Vietnam held a farewell ceremony at the Lotus Port Pier. Staff of the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of local overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded institutions, overseas students, and representatives of Vietnamese naval officers and soldiers went to the terminal to see him off.After leaving the port, the formation carried out joint training with Vietnamese naval vessels in the nearby waters on subjects such as formation movements, hand-flag communication and ship etiquette.
During the visit, the 83rd Fleet organized officers and soldiers representatives to lay flowers to the Ho Chi Minh statue, visit the Ho Chi Minh University of Humanities and Social Sciences for exchanges, and held ship openings, friendly football matches and other activities.This visit is a concrete manifestation of the deepening cooperation between the Chinese and Vietnamese navies in the fields of ship exchanges and joint patrols, and plays a positive role in enhancing mutual trust between the two countries and maintaining regional stability.
