In the first half of the year, China’s national railways completed cargo shipments of 2.015 billion tons

The reporter learned from China State Railway Group Co., Ltd.: In the first half of the year, the national railways completed a total of 2.015 billion tons of cargo shipments, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%; 1.051 billion tons of coal were shipped, including 701 million tons of thermal coal. The coal stocks of direct railway power plants across the country have remained at a high level.

Since the beginning of this year, China Railway Group has vigorously developed railway logistics general contracting. In the first half of the year, it has signed a total of 1,437 logistics general contracting contracts with a contracted transportation volume of 1.194 billion tons, helping customers reduce costs and increase efficiency; it has innovatively launched the "one-unit" product for rail-water intermodal transport. In the first half of the year, the national railway rail-water intermodal transport volume completed 9.12 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%, the "one order system" product has accumulated bookings of 59,000 TEUs; it has built a rail-road intermodal transport online cargo platform, integrated high-quality resources, gathered operating vehicles and freight drivers to settle in, and promoted the sunshine recruitment of short-term barge highway transport capacity at both ends of the railway. In the first half of the year, the entire logistics volume with railway main line transportation as the main body completed 243 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 87.9%.

The railway department also carefully builds "passenger car-based" express trains.In the first half of the year, a total of 35,800 inter-bureau freight trains were operated, sending 38.56 million tons of goods.Among them, 11,178 China-Europe freight trains were operated, a year-on-year increase of 20%.(Reporter Li Xinping)
