2026-07-05 source:Xinhua News Agency

The reporter learned from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China on July 4 that my country's first fixed-wing aircraft platform for comprehensive atmospheric environment detection, the "Yun-12F Atmospheric Comprehensive Aerial Survey Aircraft", recently made its first flight at Harbin Pingfang Airport.

It is reported that this type of aircraft uses the Y-12F aircraft as the carrier aircraft. Focusing on the needs for highly sensitive three-dimensional detection of multiple pollutants such as atmospheric particles, gaseous pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud water physics and chemistry, this type of aircraft has completed large-scale integration and modification of more than 60 mission equipment, and has integrated aerial survey capabilities for multiple pollutants, greenhouse gases, and cloud water detection. The successful development of this aircraft will provide an important vertical detection method for regional air pollution monitoring in my country.

The Y-12F aircraft is an 8-ton general-purpose/regional turboprop aircraft developed by Harbin Aircraft Industry Corporation of China. It has outstanding payload and space advantages. At the same time, this aircraft is currently the only domestically produced civil aircraft model that has obtained type certificates from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and the European Aviation Safety Agency.

The person in charge of the development team said that the aircraft is expected to conduct more than 30 hours of typical regional test flights in the future to complete the test verification of the functional effects of the mission equipment at different altitudes and environments.(Reporter Gu Tiancheng)
