The annual number of China-Europe freight trains has increased by 10.8 times in ten years

CCTV News (News Broadcast): The reporter learned from the China Railway Group that since June 2016, the cross-border international trains operating in Yuxinou, Chengdu, Yixinou, Hanxinou and other places have officially launched the "China-Europe"Since the unification of the "Block Train" brand, in the past 10 years, the annual number of China-Europe trains has increased from 1,702 trains in 2016 to 20,022 trains in 2025, an increase of 10.8 times. Since 2020, the annual number of trains has remained above 10,000 trains.

Since this year, the China-Europe train channel network has been further optimized and the service scope has been expanded.The China-Europe freight train portal website updates the operation status every month, and the trans-Caspian Sea transportation line is open every day. As of June 10, the cumulative number of China-Europe freight trains this year has exceeded 10,000, setting a new high for the same period in history.

The latest statistics show that 129 cities in China have opened China-Europe freight trains, reaching 236 cities in 26 European countries, an increase of 113 and 216 cities respectively compared with 2016. The service scope basically covers the entire Asia and Europe.
