Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai, June 5 (Reporters Lan Tianming and Wang Chenyang) The reporter learned from the Entry-Exit Management Team of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau on the 5th that the country's first "undestination sea travel" entry-exit pass was issued in Shanghai that morning.
It is reported that in view of the special characteristics of destinationless sea cruises that "do not dock and travel on the high seas", with the approval of the National Immigration Administration, the Shanghai Public Security Exit and Entry Administration Department took the lead in launching a new policy to facilitate the entry and exit of cruise cruises: in addition to using ordinary passports, tourists can apply for special entry and exit passes with their ID cards. This greatly reduces the threshold for tourists to travel abroad by cruise ship and eliminates the need for cumbersome visa preparations.
"As a single entry-exit document valid for one entry and exit, the entry-exit pass will be specially marked with "undestinated sea travel"." said Ye Jun, leader of the Document Management Team of the Exit-Entry Management Team of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau.
Ye Jun said that tourists who do not hold a valid passport for "destination sea travel" can apply for an entry-exit pass at the entry-exit reception hall on Minsheng Road with their ID cards. For those who are in urgent need of time before departure, a green channel will be opened to expedite the process.
Under the overall planning and coordination of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, cultural tourism, commerce, public security (entry and exit management), customs, border inspection, maritime affairs, Changhang Public Security, Baoshan District and other departments collaborated to open up key links such as route approval, document processing, port inspection, and ship supply guarantee.
The relevant person in charge of the Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission stated that the opening of a new "sea tour" track aims to fill the gap in Shanghai's high-end short-distance water tourism products and provide citizens with richer and more convenient weekend leisure options.
With the debut of the first "pass", the domestic large-scale cruise ship "Aida Magic City" carrying this mission is also ready and will set sail from Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Port on June 6 for a three-day and two-night cruise on the high seas. It is reported that the passenger load factor of the first flight will be controlled at 80% to ensure the best gaming experience.
