Among them, the added value of equipment manufacturing industry contributed more than 50% to the growth of industries above designated size. The growth momentum is good, providing strong support for industrial upgrading and consumption expansion. The modern service industry continues to maintain a good momentum of development. The service industry production index increased by 4.9% year-on-year, maintaining an overall stable growth trend.
Domestic demand continues to expand. In January-April, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services increased by 3.2% year-on-year, remaining generally stable compared with the first quarter. Among them, "cultural tourism craze" and "event craze" have become new highlights in the development of service consumption. New types of consumption such as online consumption, digital consumption, and green consumption are developing rapidly, injecting new momentum into the development of the consumer market. Investment in key areas has maintained rapid growth, and investment in new infrastructure construction such as computing power and new generation communication networks has continued to expand.
Since this year, my country's development momentum has continued to be optimized and upgraded. The added value of high-tech manufacturing industries such as aircraft manufacturing and biopharmaceutical product manufacturing increased by 12.6% year-on-year and continued to maintain rapid growth. The penetration of the digital economy is accelerating, and emerging industries are booming.
The employment situation is generally stable. In April, the national urban surveyed unemployment rate was 5.2%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month.
