On May 16, my country's independently developed and produced No. 103 race-grade gasoline was officially put into use in Xinjiang. It is the first domestically produced No. 103 high-grade race-grade gasoline to be industrially produced. It fills the gap in domestic high-performance racing fuel and ends my country's long-term dependence on imports for fuel for top events.

The label of gasoline generally refers to its octane number, and the octane number is an important parameter to measure the anti-knock performance of gasoline, which directly determines the engine's power output limit and operating stability. The No. 103 race-grade gasoline put into use this time is a high-end product specially developed for the extreme working conditions of racing engines with high speeds, large loads, and long-term continuous operation. The product research method has an octane number of over 103, which is 5 units higher than commercially available No. 98 automotive gasoline, which can effectively reduce the risk of knocking in racing engines in high compression ratio and high load environments.
Racing cars operate at high speeds and under heavy loads for long periods of time, which places higher demands on fuel anti-explosion, combustion response and stable output capabilities. For a long time, the domestic high-end event fuel market has relied heavily on imported racing fuel, and some teams will also blend oil products on their own according to engine needs. Not only does the procurement cycle be long and the cost is high, but there is also the risk of unstable supply chains.
