Preliminary figures for my country's balance of payments for the first quarter released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange on May 15 show that in the first quarter of 2026, my country's current account surplus was 1.2821 billion yuan. Among them, the goods trade surplus was 1,721.2 billion yuan and the service trade deficit was 413.9 billion yuan.
In US dollars, in the first quarter of 2026, my country’s current account surplus was US$184.1 billion. Among them, the trade surplus in goods was US$247.4 billion and the trade deficit in services was US$59.6 billion. (Reporter Liu Kaixiong)
