The number of packaging box layers and packaging bag thicknesses has been reduced by more than half, the width of tapes has been reduced by 25%, smart boxing algorithms have reduced consumables by nearly 20%, and the proportion of recycled packaging used for intra-city express delivery has reached 10%. More than 800 million reused cartons are recycled annually. Four companies including Postal Service, JD.com, SF Express, and Yunda have piloted the application of recycling packaging in fresh food cold chain, government documents and other scenarios in more than 20 cities.
In addition, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, modern information technologies such as artificial intelligence, mobile Internet, and cloud computing have reshaped the express delivery operation organization model and operating procedures, and enhanced the momentum of green and low-carbon development. The distribution center has realized intelligent dispatching, visual tracking and information management. Photovoltaic power generation, intelligent sorting, intelligent security inspection and unmanned warehouses have been implemented at an accelerated pace. The level of informatization and intelligence has been accelerated. Hydrogen energy and clean energy vehicles have been widely used. At present, the photovoltaic installation area in the postal industry is 4.48 million square meters, the number of green distribution centers exceeds 1,000, the number of green outlets exceeds 12,500, and the number of new energy and clean energy vehicles exceeds 75,000.
