Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council: Strongly condemns the DPP authorities’ abuse of justice to persecute the patriotic unity forces on the island
2025-10-25 source:cctv.com

CCTV news: Chen Binhua, spokesman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, answered reporters’ questions.

Q: Recently, the Democratic Progressive Party authorities sentenced retired Taiwan military general Gao Anguo to seven years and six months in prison for allegedly violating the so-called "National Security Law" and launching an attempted organization for the mainland. Any comments on this?

Answer: This is another evil act by the DPP authorities to abuse justice and suppress and persecute the patriotic unity forces on the island. We strongly condemn this. The DPP authorities continue to suppress political dissidents, especially the wanton persecution of organizations and people who oppose "Taiwan independence" and advocate reunification. This is entirely based on the nature of "Taiwan independence" and for the selfish interests of one party. We hope that all walks of life in Taiwan will fully understand the nature of the case and jointly oppose its abuse of power to persecute patriots. We hereby warn the relevant institutions and personnel on the island that those who stand on the opposite side of the people's voice and historical justice and act as thugs and minions of the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces will be liquidated by history and severely punished by law.
