CCTV news: The three-day 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference concluded in Beijing on October 18. During the conference, my country released the "Phase Results of the Pilot Application of Intelligent Connected Vehicles "Vehicle-Road-Cloud Integration"", providing important reference for future industrial scale applications.

my country released the phased results of "vehicle-road-cloud integration"

"Vehicle-road-cloud integration" is a systematic technical architecture for the intelligent connected automobile industry. Through the deep integration of vehicles, road facilities and cloud platforms, collaborative sensing and intelligent decision-making of the transportation system are realized, which is an important means to ensure the safe driving of autonomous driving systems.

Our country is the first country in the world to propose and implement this technical route, and 20 cities (consortiums) have participated in relevant pilot work. At present, my country has successfully refined the ten functional scenarios of "vehicle-road-cloud integration": covering traffic light information services, traffic incident information early warning, collaborative vulnerable traffic participant collision avoidance, collaborative automatic emergency collision avoidance, and vehicle perception information sharing services.

At the same time, my country's R&D and application of "vehicle-road-cloud integration" has been implemented in the fields of smart buses, unmanned distribution, smart travel passenger cars, urban logistics, highway logistics, smart sanitation, smart charging and discharging, and data closed-loop and value-added services.

The top ten results of intelligent connected vehicle standardization were released

At the closing ceremony of the 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center released the top ten results of intelligent connected vehicle standardization. Up to now, my country has formulated and released nearly 100 national, industry and group standards, supporting the technological evolution from assisted driving to autonomous driving.

In terms of safety standards, three mandatory national standards have been released, covering vehicle safety, functional safety and information security, delineating a "safety red line" for industrial development. In terms of testing and verification, relevant safety management rules have enabled intelligent connected vehicles to move from the "testing ground" to the "open road".

An Tiecheng, Chairman of China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co., Ltd.: my country's intelligent connected vehicle standard work started in 2015. After ten years of systematic advancement, a standardization advancement path has been systematically established to pioneer, lead, and strengthen the foundation. These ten major achievements are not only a phased summary of my country's intelligent connected vehicle standardization work, but also an important support for promoting the industry to become a global leader.

The China Automotive Industry Center also stated that while participating in the construction of the international standards system, Chinese experts also took the lead in formulating a number of ISO and United Nations regulatory standards to promote the deep integration of "Chinese standards" into the global system. In the future, our country will continue to take the lead in standards, continuously improve system construction, deepen international collaboration, and contribute more Chinese power to the transformation and upgrading of the global automobile industry.

Systematic planning of development goals and key development directions

The China Academy of Information and Communications Technology also released the "Intelligent Connected Vehicle Network Technology Roadmap (2025-2030)". This roadmap systematically plans the development goals and key development directions of intelligent connected vehicle network technology by 2030.

The "Roadmap" proposes that by 2030, my country will form a comprehensive network system with multi-technology collaboration to fully support the multi-service connection needs of vehicles. Among them, the penetration rate of 5G for new passenger cars in my country will reach 95%, and the penetration rate of cellular direct-connect communication capabilities will reach 30%. The 5G/5G-A network can achieve transmission delay guarantees of 50 milliseconds and 100 milliseconds.

Relevant experts said that in terms of traffic control information services, my country has now opened more than 4,700 intersection signal control data in 12 cities, and it is expected that the number of passenger vehicles served will reach 100,000 by the end of 2025.

Bao Xuyan, senior engineer of the Internet of Vehicles Department of the Institute of Technology and Standards of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology: We insist on standards first and prioritize the development of key common standards in car cloud, cloud data interfaces, data quality and other aspects to promote cross-regional interconnection.
