On October 18, China Internet Network Information Center released the "Generative Artificial Intelligence Application Development Report (2025)" at the 2025 (6th) China Internet Basic Resources Conference. The report shows that as of June 2025, the number of generative artificial intelligence users in my country has reached 515 million, an increase of 266 million from December 2024. The number of users has doubled in half a year; the penetration rate is 36.5%.
The report believes that domestic large-scale artificial intelligence models are widely favored by users and promote intelligent transformation and upgrading in various application scenarios. The survey found that more than 90% of users prefer domestic large models. Generative artificial intelligence is widely used in various scenarios such as intelligent search, content creation, office assistants, and intelligent hardware. It is also actively explored and practiced in agricultural production, industrial manufacturing, scientific research and other fields.
