Ministry of Foreign Affairs: China is not the creator and party to the Ukrainian crisis
2025-09-27 source:CCTV News

On September 26, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked questions about the Polish Foreign Minister's remarks related to China when he talked about the Ukrainian crisis.

In this regard, Guo Jiakun said that China is not the creator and party to the Ukrainian crisis, but as a permanent member of the UN Security Council and a responsible major power, we have always adhered to an objective and fair position, actively persuaded peace and promoted talks, which has been widely recognized by the international community. I believe Poland is clear about this. There is another person who does not want the war to end, and continues to add fuel to the fire, and even makes a fortune from it, not China.

Guo Jiakun pointed out that striking China with blame cannot solve the problem. The root cause of the Ukrainian crisis lies in the regional security contradictions accumulated in Europe for a long time. Only by taking into account the reasonable security concerns of all parties and establishing a balanced, effective and sustainable European security architecture through dialogue and negotiation is the right way to solve the problem. We support Europe to play a greater positive role in promoting the political resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
