The manufacturing industry's prosperity level improved compared with last month
In August, China's manufacturing purchasing managers' index was 49.4%, up 0.1 percentage point from the previous month, and the manufacturing industry's prosperity level improved compared with last month. The expansion of enterprise production activities is accelerating. The production index in August was 50.8%, up 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, and was above the critical point for four consecutive months.
From the perspective of key industries, the purchasing managers' index of high-tech manufacturing and equipment manufacturing in August was 51.9% and 50.5%, respectively, up 1.3 and 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, respectively. New momentum is accelerating its expansion, and its supporting and leading role continues to be enhanced.
In addition, the Purchasing Manager Index of large enterprises continues to expand, and the pace of expansion has accelerated. The prosperity level of small businesses has improved.
The expansion of non-manufacturing industries accelerated, and the service industry rebounded significantly.
The non-manufacturing business activity index in August was 50.3%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, and the non-manufacturing industry continued to expand. Among them, the service industry business activity index was 50.5%, up 0.5 percentage points from the previous month and rose to the high of the year.
