From July 16th to 20th, the third China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo with the theme of "Linking the World and Creating the Future Together" was held in Beijing. Faced with multiple challenges such as economic globalization, the rise of trade protectionism, and the intensification of geopolitical conflicts, 651 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions from 75 countries, regions and international organizations gathered together to explore solutions to "chain" the world, injecting strong impetus into promoting the construction of an open world economy. At present, the international situation is complex and changeable, and the noise of "decoupling and chain breaking" is constantly coming, and the global restricted foreign investment policies are increasing, and the trend of friendly, near-shore and localization of the production and supply chain is strengthened. Despite this, the popularity of the third Chain Expo has not decreased but increased. From a regional perspective, the proportion of overseas exhibitors reached 35%, an increase of 3 percentage points from the previous session, of which the number of exhibitors in the United States increased by 15%. From the perspective of enterprise scale, more than 65% of exhibitors are the Fortune 500 and industry-leading companies, and a large number of specialized, innovative and "hidden champion" companies actively participated in the exhibition. The extensive and high-quality participation shows that consolidating and strengthening global production and supply chain cooperation is still a common expectation by all parties, demonstrating the firm confidence of the global business community in China and the Chain Expo platform.

China has become the "stable anchor" of the global production and supply chain. From the supply side, my country's industrial system is complete, scientific and technological innovation continues to make breakthroughs and leaps, and continues to provide the world with high-quality Chinese manufacturing and Chinese creation. From the demand side, my country's market size is huge, and it firmly promotes high-level opening up to the outside world, providing broad space for the development of global production and supply chains. The Chain Expo is China's specific practice in promoting global production and supply chain cooperation. Based on the successful holding of two consecutive sessions, the influence of the Chain Expo has been increasing day by day, and has been upgraded from an enterprise display platform to an important hub for promoting in-depth coordination of production and supply chains and sharing China's opportunities.

Promote efficient connection between upstream, middle and downstream. This Chain Expo attracted 651 companies and institutions to participate in the exhibition with more than 500 upstream and downstream partners. The exhibition area is set up closely to the logic of the industrial chain, divided according to themes such as advanced manufacturing chain, intelligent automobile chain, and digital technology chain, to promote in-depth interaction and cooperation with "chain" enterprises; at the same time, the exhibitor alliances of various chains are established to build a resource sharing and long-term cooperation platform for upstream, midstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain.

Promote the coordinated efforts of industry, education, research and application. Strengthening the integrated development of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation is the key to stimulating the vitality of independent innovation and the driving force for industrial upgrading. In this regard, this Chain Expo set up an innovation chain zone with intellectual property transformation as the main line for the first time, inviting 14 institutions including the World Intellectual Property Organization, the National Intellectual Property Office, and the China Technology Exchange to participate in the exhibition, fully presenting the full-chain transformation process of scientific and technological achievements from basic research to technological research and development, industrial application and then to market feedback; at the same time, it also helps exhibitors and individuals solve problems such as "not being used", "not easy to use", "not not able to use", as well as information asymmetry, resource dispersion and business operation difficulties in the transformation of scientific and technological innovation achievements.

Converge the wisdom of global open cooperation. In order to help the global business community accurately grasp the development trends and characteristics of the global supply chain, this Chain Expo continues to release the "Global Supply Chain Promotion Report" and the global supply chain index matrix, among which the Innovation Index and Resilience Index are the first launch of the third Chain Expo. This will help give full play to the advantages of the Chain Expo international exchange platform, gather elites in various fields of industry, education, research and application, and make suggestions for promoting global open cooperation in the production, supply chain.
