2025-07-11 source:CCTV Finance

In my country, forest food is the third largest agricultural product after grain and vegetables. Nowadays, forest food in many places is ushering in summer harvest.

In the Qingjiang Ecological Public Welfare Forest Farm in Guangchang County, Jiangxi Province, workers are picking fresh fungus and camphor trees. This year, with the support of the government, the cooperative built a sprinkler irrigation system covering more than 1,000 acres of edible fungi planting base in the forest farm. With sufficient water sources, the output of edible fungi has increased by about 10%.

In the rubber forest of Mengla Town, Mengla County, Yunnan, bamboo fungus is growing vigorously. In recent years, the local government has vigorously tapped the economic potential under the forest and planted 20 acres of bamboo fungus under the rubber forest of the local residents' group.

Forest food covers "rice bags", "oil bottles", "vegetable baskets", and "fruit plates". At present, my country's woody oil supply is diversified, woody grain supply is sufficient, and there are a wide variety of fruits. There are also a large number of high-quality forest foods such as forest poultry, forest livestock, forest fungi, and honey, which greatly enriches the dining tables of people. At present, more than 2,400 counties in more than 2,800 counties across the country have planted economic forests, and the annual output of various forest food is more than 200 million tons.
