As a technician of Hebei Kailuan Group, she has been rooted in the front line for 18 years and has been unremittingly studying the coal-to-methanol production process to help the company transform.

At Tangshan Zhongrun Company of Kailuan Group, Hebei, large-scale chemical equipment is being produced at full capacity. When the reporter met Deng Jing, she was sampling and testing the more than 700 tons of methanol produced that day.

Methanol is a basic chemical raw material related to the national economy and people's livelihood. It is widely used and can be used in chemical manufacturing, medicine, energy and fuels and new materials fields.

At the beginning of this century, Kailuan Group transformed from traditional coal mines to modern coal chemical industry. Deng Jing, who graduated from Hebei Industrial Vocational and Technical College, entered Kailuan Tangshan Zhongrun with the first place in the major of coke oven gas methanol production, and participated in the construction of a methanol branch, exploring the production process almost from scratch.

In just a few months, Deng Jing and his colleagues independently completed the first production and driving work of the methanol system. However, shortly after it was put into production, the methanol device encountered its first sudden accident.

Afterward, Deng Jing said that she was also very nervous, and that it was her daily study reserves that gave her confidence.

Love learning and willing to study. Later, Deng Jing learned all the skills of each methanol production position in the central control room at an average rate of one position per year, and became a "universal operator" in the factory. As Kailuan Group continues to accelerate its transformation and upgrading, Deng Jing even asked himself to constantly improve his technology and innovate without stopping.

Once, the discharge port of a device repeatedly cracked, which not only affects the output but also poses safety hazards. The traditional solution is to shut down for 15 days to replace the equipment, which also means that it will cost a lot of equipment costs. Deng Jing stayed on the project site for more than two months and finally designed a transformation plan to "additional bypass pipelines to maintain maintenance", setting a precedent for "not stopping maintenance" of similar devices in the industry.

In order to transform a technical transformation, Deng Jing often lived and ate and lived in the factory for several months, and was laughed at by his colleagues as saying that he "growed in the workstation."

It is precisely with this "axis" spirit of pursuing perfection and not admitting defeat that Deng Jing grew from an ordinary front-line coal chemical industry worker to a national technical expert. In 2014, the company established Deng Jing Innovation Studio. Up to now, she and her team have completed more than 60 innovative projects, and the technological transformation she participated in has accumulated a total of over 100 million yuan in effectiveness for the company.

In 2025, Kailuan Group developed a new material "high-strength polyformaldehyde fiber wire". At present, the product has opened foreign markets such as Germany and the Netherlands. Methanol is the main raw material for producing this new material, and Deng Jing led the team to start new process technology transformation research.

Deng Jing said that no matter which industry or position you are in, it depends largely on whether you have achieved the ultimate. The stage for technical workers has never been as broad as it is today, and I want to achieve some results from the bottom of my heart.
