Digital products: 15% new purchase subsidy for less than 6,000 yuan, up to 500 yuan

According to this policy requirements, mobile phones, tablets, and smart watches (bracelets) with a final sales price of no more than 6,000 yuan can participate in this new purchase subsidy activity, and consumers can enjoy a new purchase subsidy of 15% of the final sales price. Not only domestic brands, but also foreign brands can participate in this subsidy activity.

Some experts said that consumers' updates and replacement of digital products will also drive manufacturers to update and iterate products, which is conducive to the innovative development of the production side. Chen Xi, an associate researcher at the Macroeconomic Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, believes that by increasing subsidies, promoting the consumption of such products can meet consumers' needs for new products and new services on the one hand, and on the other hand, it also conforms to the general trend of digital and intelligent development.

Compared with the previous round of home appliances, there are two changes: First, the category has increased from 8 to 12. The four categories of products, including microwave oven, water purifier, dishwasher and rice cooker, participate in this year's old-for-new trade-in, and buy 12 categories of home appliances, and purchase up to 2,000 yuan per piece. Second, each person can subsidize three air conditioners. On the basis of national subsidies, local governments can still independently increase subsidized product categories this year.

Gu Linlin, the manager of a home appliance store in Shanghai, introduced that on January 1, 2025, a subsidy of 8 major categories (old-for-new products) last year was directly continued. Since the beginning of the entire subsidy, the overall sales have increased by about 50% and 60% year-on-year.

More than 6.8 million cars were traded for old-for-new cars nationwide, more than 36 million consumers purchased more than 56 million home appliances for 8 major categories of home appliances, "renewal" subsidy for home decoration, kitchen and bathrooms, and more than 1.38 million electric bicycles were traded for old-for-new products.
