At present, there are 36 types of traffic violations in Beijing that can be enforced off-site.

According to relevant national laws and regulations and industry standards, vehicles such as hazardous chemical vehicles, tourist chartered vehicles, shuttle buses, heavy-duty trucks of more than 12 tons need to be equipped with satellite positioning systems that meet the standards to supervise their driving routes and locations in real time to ensure safety.

After preliminary research and demonstration, the Beijing Traffic Management Department will use satellite positioning information starting this year to supervise vehicles carrying dangerous goods transport vehicles, tourist buses, chartered buses, buses, heavy trucks with satellite positioning devices throughout the city. For illegal acts such as illegal driving for more than 4 hours without stopping for rest or parking for less than 20 minutes, a fine of 200 yuan will be imposed according to the different models of the driving, and a maximum penalty of 9 points will be imposed on the driver's license.

In this regard, Beijing traffic management departments have piloted the launch of traffic technical monitoring equipment in some areas to capture illegal acts of not using lights in accordance with regulations and changing lanes in violation of regulations, and have taken SMS prompt measures to warn drivers, further improving drivers' awareness of standardized and concession when turning and reorganizing lines, thereby achieving the core goal of accident prevention. The lights not used as required include three situations: vehicle lane change without turning on the turn signal, intersection turn signal, and night lights. The time for shooting without turning on the lights at night is 22:00 on the same day to 5:00 on the next day. Changes to lanes in violation of regulations include two situations: continuous lane change and "serpentine lane transformation". Drivers who receive text messages can go to the law enforcement stations of the traffic brigades in each district to view the collected videos and photos.
