CCTV News: According to China Weather Network, today (January 15), the strong cold air will continue to move eastward and southward, and Jiangnan and other places will also usher in a cooling drop. However, after the short-term impact of the cold air, a large wave of warming has begun to brew. Until the weekend, most of the central and eastern regions will experience significant warming, and the highest temperature in the south of the Yangtze River may rise to around 20℃. In the coldest days, you will feel the warmth of spring. At the same time, rainy and snowy weather in my country is sparse, and precipitation continues to be low in Jiangnan, South China and other places. Meteorological drought will continue to develop, so we need to pay attention to prevention.
The Jiangnan and other places usher in cooling, and a large wave of warming up is about to begin
Yesterday, strong cold air continued to show its power, and many places north of the Yangtze River in my country experienced cooling. Among them, the temperature in North China, Huanghuai, Jianghuai, Jianghan and other places dropped by 4 to 8℃, and the cooling range in southern Hebei, Shanxi, northern Shaanxi and other places was 10 to 14℃.
Today, as the cold air continues to move eastward and southward, Jiangnan and other places will also usher in a cooling drop. The highest temperature in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River was still above 15℃ yesterday, and today it will be only around 10℃.
However, after the short-term impact of cold air, a large-scale obvious warming process has begun to brew. Starting today, the temperature in many places in the north will rise, and the south will gradually rise tomorrow. The heating process will continue until the 20th. During this period, the cumulative temperature increase in the maximum temperature in most central and eastern regions will exceed 10℃, and the maximum temperature in most areas south of the Yangtze River will exceed 20℃. The coldest season will warm up the spring-like feeling. Among big cities, the highest temperature in Changsha will drop to around 11℃ today, and the temperature will rise all the way tomorrow, and will exceed 20℃ around the 20th.
In the next few days, the temperature in many places in the central and eastern regions will fluctuate significantly, and the heating momentum will be strong in some areas, but the temperature difference between day and night is still large. Many places in Jiangnan are warm during the day, and the lowest temperature is only single digits. The coldness remains in the morning and evening, so the work of preventing cold and keeping warm cannot be relaxed.
Most of my country's precipitation is sparse, and meteorological drought is developed in many parts of the south and south China
From this year to the weekend, most areas of my country will have sparse precipitation, and scattered rain and snow will occur in the northeast and southwest regions. The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that today, there will be light snow or sleet in some areas in northeastern Inner Mongolia, northern and eastern Heilongjiang, western Tibet, and southern western Sichuan Plateau, among which moderate to heavy snow will occur in some areas in western Tibet. Light rain will occur in some areas such as the western and southern Sichuan Basin, northwestern Guizhou, northeastern Yunnan, southern Hainan Island, and Taiwan Island.

Tomorrow, there will be light to moderate snow in some areas of northern Heilongjiang, northern Xinjiang and southern southern Xinjiang Basin, western and northern Tibet, and western Qinghai, among which there will be heavy to blizzards in some areas of southwestern Tibet.

From this day to the weekend, the weather will be clear and precipitated, and the air will continue to dry. Since December last year, precipitation in the central and eastern regions has continued to be less, and the precipitation in Jiangnan and South China is more than 80% less than the same period in the previous year. Meteorological drought has developed, with large areas of moderate to severe drought, and there are severe droughts in some areas. The drought situation will further develop in the next few days, and prevention is needed.
