The 2025 National Marine Disaster Forecasting Conference held recently conducted analyzing the situation of marine disasters this year. In 2025, 4 to 6 catastrophic typhoon storm surges will occur along my country's coast, with 38 to 42 catastrophic waves. Strong storm surges (including above levels) will mainly affect my country's southeastern coast; 3 to 4 catastrophic temperate storm surges will occur along the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea coast; the number of red tides in the nearshore my country's red tide is 50 to 65, of which the areas with severe red tide impact are mainly Zhejiang waters.

In 2024, my country's GDP exceeded 10 trillion yuan for the first time. Marine forecasting authorities at all levels successfully responded to marine disaster processes such as 12 temperate storm surges, 10 typhoon storm surges, 33 disastrous wave processes, effectively ensuring the economic and social security of coastal areas.
