CCTV News: On January 14, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters on the relevant measures for the list of unreliable entities.

Q: On January 14, China included seven U.S. entities on the "unreliable entity list". What are your considerations?

A: Recently, the United States has frequently sold weapons to Taiwan, China, seriously violated the one-China principle and the three Sino-US joint communiqués, seriously violated international law, and endangered peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. Seven companies including the US Intercoast Electronics Company participated in arms sales to Taiwan despite China's strong opposition and carried out so-called military and technical cooperation, seriously damaging China's sovereignty, security and development interests. China holds it illegally liable in accordance with the laws of the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China", "National Security Law of the People's Republic of China", "Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China", and other relevant provisions, and in accordance with the "Provisions on the List of Unreliable Entities" and other relevant provisions.

China has always carefully handled the issue of unreliable entities lists, and only targeted a very small number of foreign entities that endanger our national security in accordance with the law. Foreign entities that are honest and law-abiding have no need to worry at all. As always, the Chinese government welcomes enterprises from all over the world to invest and start businesses in China, and is committed to providing a stable, fair and predictable business environment for law-abiding and compliant foreign-funded enterprises to operate in China.
