According to statistics, in 2024, China's total import and export value of goods trade was 43.85 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%. Among them, the export scale exceeded 25 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 25.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, maintaining growth for the eighth consecutive year. Imports were 18.39 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3%.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, foreign trade achieved a quarterly historical high of 11.51 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the third quarter. Especially in December, the scale of imports and exports exceeded 4 trillion yuan for the first time, and the growth rate increased to 6.8%, and the foreign trade for the whole year was successfully concluded.

The exports of electric vehicles, 3D printers and industrial robots achieved growth of 13.1%, 32.8% and 45.2% respectively. The independent brands have "gained countless fans", accounting for China's exports by 0.8 percentage points year-on-year to 21.8%. Traditional manufacturing enterprises in Zhejiang, a major foreign trade province in China, have developed "new tricks" through innovation. Wuyi County Economic Development Zone has launched a number of fully automatic production lines at full capacity, and its downline products are soon sold to more than 30 countries and regions including Europe and Australia.

Wang Lingjun, deputy director of the General Administration of Customs, said that washing machines made in China are equipped with AI "smart washing" function, which can automatically detect the weight and material of clothes and select the best washing mode. Smart home appliance products inject new energy into the traditional home appliance industry, driving the growth of my country's national electricity exports by 15.4% last year.
