On the morning of January 13, the State Council Information Office held a press conference, and the relevant person in charge of the General Administration of Customs introduced a series of outstanding achievements in my country's import and export of goods in 2024.

☆Data 1: 43.85 trillion yuan

Statistics released by the General Administration of Customs show that in 2024, my country's total import and export value of goods trade was 43.85 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5%. The scale hit a record high, and my country's total foreign trade volume, incremental volume and quality have all achieved improvements.

☆Data 2: 25.45 trillion yuan

Customs data show that in 2024, my country's export scale of goods trade exceeded 25 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 25.45 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%, maintaining growth for eight consecutive years, showing strong competitiveness.

☆Data 3: 21.8%

According to customs statistics, in 2024, my country's independent brands attracted countless fans, accounting for 0.8 percentage points year-on-year to 21.8%. Domestic trendy brands have a "Chinese style" all over the world. At the same time, there are more new products with high-tech attributes that are accelerating their outbound overseas, with the export of electric vehicles, 3D printers and industrial robots achieving growth of 13.1%, 32.8% and 45.2% respectively.

☆Data 4: 22.07 trillion yuan

In 2024, my country's total imports and exports to countries jointly built the "Belt and Road" were 22.07 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.4%, accounting for 50.3% of my country's total import and export value. Among them, imports and exports to ASEAN were 6.99 trillion yuan, an increase of 9%, maintaining growth for nine consecutive years, and being each other's largest trading partners for five consecutive years. During the same period, my country's traditional markets with the EU and the United States maintained growth, with imports and exports to the EU and the United States increasing by 1.6% and 4.9% respectively.

☆Data 5: More than 31 million vehicles

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the latest data on January 13, showing that my country's automobile production and sales both exceeded 31 million vehicles in 2024, setting a new record high. Automobile production and sales reached 31.282 million and 31.436 million respectively, an increase of 3.7% and 4.5% year-on-year respectively. Among them, 5.859 million vehicles were exported, an increase of 19.3% year-on-year, further consolidating the world's largest automobile exporter.

☆Data 6: More than 12 million vehicles

In the latest 2024 automobile industry data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the production and sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 12 million, ranking first in the world for ten consecutive years.

The latest data shows that in 2024, the production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 12.888 million and 12.866 million respectively, an increase of 34.4% and 35.5% year-on-year respectively. The sales of new energy vehicles reached 40.9% of the total sales of new automobiles, continuing to become an important growth point for China's automobile industry. At the same time, 1.284 million new energy vehicles were exported in 2024, an increase of 6.7% over the previous year, continuing to lead the world.
