Wang Shaozhong, director of the National Archives Administration, said that the National Archives Administration will focus on building public service capabilities for archives, improve opening rules, and achieve opening up in accordance with the law when it expires, and effectively implement the relevant provisions of the Archives Law. Archives authorities at all levels should strengthen the overall coordination of archive open review work, further optimize archive utilization services, timely publish open archive catalogs, make full use of integrated online government service platforms at all levels and expand archive utilization channels to facilitate the public to check and use archives.
According to reports, in 2024, archive departments at all levels will continue to optimize archive inspection and utilization services, expand the scope of resource sharing, and provide multi-channel archive inspection services such as library inspection, cross-library inspection, online inspection, and mobile inspection. Data shows that the nationwide archive inquiry and utilization service platform has accessed more than 2,200 archives and more than 200,000 registered users.
The national archives work tasks in 2025 will be further clarified. We will strengthen the construction of people's livelihood archive resources, increase the supply of systems in medical insurance archives, birth medical certificate archives, retired employees' archives, etc., expand the scope of electronic archives for people's livelihood archives, optimize the procedures for checking and utilizing people's livelihood archives, and standardize the agency inspection and handling of people's livelihood archives and cross-library collaboration.
