On January 1, the second Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Panshan Ice and Snow Culture Festival opened
"Little cold and great cold, frozen into a ball."
Xiaohan has just passed, and in another week, this year's Great Cold solar term will arrive. With the arrival of the coldest season of 2025, the ice and snow economy in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei has gradually become lively.
Experience the vitality of Beijing's ice and snow
In the past two years, the ice and snow economy across the country has continued to be hot. In the past winter in Beijing, most of them stayed at home except for shopping malls and vegetable markets. Because it is cold, I rarely go to the park. Now it’s very different. Last New Year’s Day, I took my son to the Summer Palace in Beijing and experienced the winter “Beijing Color” there.
The mirror-like Kunming Lake reflects the sunshine, and the lively ice and snow sports make people feel more energetic and joyful. We rented two ice trucks and couldn't wait to rush into this snowy world. At first, I was worried about the pain and embarrassment caused by the fall, but soon my son and I were infected by the enthusiasm of the people around us. The ice truck speed is gradually accelerating, and the stimulating feeling is hard to describe. Occasionally someone accidentally falls, and from the bursts of laughter, I feel joy and kindness.
This kind of ice and snow joy at the "door to your home" fills up the sense of happiness and adds a more fulfilling and joyful atmosphere of life to Beijing in winter.
Not only the Summer Palace, but also the Beijing municipal parks such as Beihai Park, Taoranting Park, Zizhuyuan Park, etc., present a lively scene during the ice and snow season. Yuyuantan Park in Haidian District just held the opening ceremony of "Fun Snow IN Beijing - The Second Beijing Ice and Snow Tourism Season" on January 9. Next, Yuyuantan Park will carry out a series of diverse ice and snow activities.
Now in the parks in Beijing in winter, there are many projects such as ice slides, ice bicycles, snow trains, etc. It includes some local specialty snacks, various cultural and creative products, ethnic dance performances, etc., which is very lively.
A series of ice and snow activities not only promote communication between people, but also make winter warmer.
