CCTV News: On January 12, Wang Liping, a researcher at the National Health Commission, said at a press conference of the National Health Commission that the results of influenza monitoring in my country show that the current advantageous strain of influenza is the type A H1N1 subtype. The National Influenza Center of China conducted antigenic analysis on the recently isolated influenza A H1N1 virus, which indicated that it matched well with the influenza vaccine strain and was effective in vaccination; drug resistance analysis suggested that the currently prevalent influenza virus is sensitive to antiviral drugs and drug treatment is effective.
Wang Liping recommends that all people over 6 months of age should receive influenza vaccination every year as long as there is no contraindication for vaccination, mainly referring to allergies to the ingredients contained in the vaccine.
