This year's Spring Festival travel rush starts on January 14 and ends on February 22, with a period of 40 days. According to the transportation and other departments, the cross-regional flow of people in the whole society will reach 9 billion. Judging from the travel structure, self-driving travel will remain the dominant position, with an estimated number of 7.2 billion people, accounting for about 80% of the cross-regional personnel flow in the whole society. The daily peak of highway traffic may hit a record high. From the perspective of time and space distribution, this year's Spring Festival is earlier than in previous years. There will be a superposition of four types of passenger flows such as students, working, visiting relatives, and tourism around the Spring Festival, with a high concentration. Urban agglomerations such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, Chengdu-Chongqing are still the main concentrated areas for passenger flow.
The departments of transportation, railways, civil aviation and other fields will strengthen the analysis of passenger flow demand, fully tap the transportation potential, coordinate the allocation of transportation capacity, and at the same time ensure the transportation of important energy materials such as coal, daily necessities such as grain, holiday commodities, and spring plowing preparations.
