CCTV News: Funan County, Fuyang, Anhui is one of the national commercial grain base counties. Currently, 1.28 million mu of winter wheat has entered a critical period of overwintering. In order to ensure a bumper harvest and increase in winter wheat, local agricultural technicians went deep into the fields to guide farmers to manage fields scientifically and ensure a bumper harvest.
In Miaoji Town, Funan County, Fuyang City, a large grain grower Shao Guoai is conducting integrated winter irrigation and precise fertilizer control on his more than 600 acres of winter wheat. During wheat sowing last year, a new drip irrigation belt was laid in the fields. Now, water and fertilizer integration technology are used to apply evenly, which can reduce nutrient loss.
This year, Funan County will fully apply the drip irrigation "water and fertilizer integration" technology to the production process of winter wheat. The local agricultural department also guides farmers to tap the potential for wheat to increase production by selecting excellent varieties, reasonably controlling dense planting, and introducing new field management technologies. According to monitoring by the local agricultural department, the local 1.28 million mu of winter wheat seedlings has reached 90%, an increase of 10% over last year.
