Li Wenqing, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, introduced that building a modern industrial system with efficient division of labor, staggered development, orderly competition and mutual integration is an important task in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle. In recent years, we have focused on key industries such as electronic information, automobiles, equipment manufacturing, and special consumer goods, and have worked together in industrial supporting facilities and platform construction to promote the deep integration of upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. "Made in Sichuan and Chongqing" has become a well-known business card for China's manufacturing.
The electronic information industry is the pillar industry with the strongest innovation strength and the best industrial foundation in Sichuan and Chongqing. In recent years, the two provinces and cities have accelerated the supplementary and strengthened chains around integrated circuits, new displays, smart terminals, etc., and the Chengdu-Chongqing region has become the top ten electronic information manufacturing cluster in the world. At present, two-thirds of the world's iPad, nearly 80 million laptops, and more than 100 million smartphones are all from Sichuan and Chongqing.
Auto manufacturing is also one of the leading industries jointly created by the two provinces. Chongqing has obvious advantages in vehicle manufacturing, and Sichuan is highly competitive in power batteries and clean energy supporting facilities. The two sides jointly built a supply and demand docking platform for the industrial chain, and led by building a "hydrogen corridor", "electric corridor" and "intelligent corridor" to manufacture intelligent connected new energy vehicles R&D and production base. It has gathered more than 2,000 complete vehicle and component manufacturing enterprises. Every seven cars in the country have one power battery produced in Sichuan and Chongqing, and more than one-fifth of them are "made in Sichuan and Chongqing".
Bicycle the east wind of the digital economy, the Chengdu-Chongqing region takes the opportunity of national computing power hub nodes and the construction of digital economy innovation and development pilot zones to jointly build factor clusters and improve the industrial chain. Many leading digital economy enterprises such as Tencent, Huawei, and Alibaba have settled in Sichuan and Chongqing. The cumulative registration and analysis of industrial Internet logos in the two provinces and cities have exceeded 38 billion (times).
At the same time, we will strengthen cooperation in new tracks and new fields, and work together to cultivate emerging industries such as low-altitude economy. In December 2024, the first low-altitude short-distance transportation route from Chongqing to Dazhou, Sichuan and Beichuan, Mianyang was opened. In addition, we continue to work hard to jointly build the Western Financial Center, the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor, and the Chengdu-Chongqing High-efficiency Characteristic Agricultural Demonstration Belt, and a number of new products, new business forms and new models with Sichuan-Chongqing characteristics continue to emerge.
