Song Zhiyong, Director of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, introduced at the meeting that in 2024, international passenger flights increased to 6,400 flights per week, recovering to 84% before the epidemic, and international cargo and mail transportation volume increased by 29.3% year-on-year.
Song Zhiyong said that in 2025, it is expected to complete a total transportation turnover of 161 billion tons and kilometers, a passenger transport volume of 780 million people, and a cargo and mail transport volume of 9.5 million tons. The civil aviation department will actively explore the market and improve operational quality. Optimize the quality of domestic air express lines and orderly promote free signing and transfer between airlines; deepen and implement the "stead and branch connection, full network connection" air transportation network service system, and promote the optimization and upgrading of civil aviation transit products; focus on "inbound travel, low-altitude travel, study tour, parent-child travel, and silver-haired travel" to enrich the supply of aviation products.
