Strengthen the construction of honest culture in the new era
2025-04-24 source:

In May 2019, when General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected his work in Jiangxi, he quoted Comrade Mao Zedong's words during his period in the Central Soviet Area, "All government staff should understand that corruption and waste are great crimes." He asked the majority of party members and cadres to "inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the party" and "persist in rectifying the work style and discipline, resolutely eliminate corruption tumors, and always maintain the political character of the party." The "Decision" of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China regards "strengthening the construction of honest culture in the new era" as an important part of "deeply promoting the construction of party style and clean government and the fight against corruption" and makes arrangements. Strengthening the construction of an honest culture in the new era is a basic project that integrates the promotion of the basic project of not daring to be corrupt, not being able to be corrupt, and not wanting to be corrupt. We must be done at the same time and in a practical manner.

Start with strengthening theoretical arming. Only by being clear-headed in theory can one be firm in politics and conscious in action can one be self-conscious in action. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, General Secretary Xi Jinping has made a series of important statements on strengthening the construction of an honest culture in the new era, emphasizing that "pure thoughts is the foundation for Marxist parties to maintain purity, and noble morality is the basis for leading cadres to be honest and honest." He requires the majority of party members and cadres to "unify cleanliness and responsibility, diligence and integrity" and "nurture their body and mind with integrity culture." To strengthen the construction of a clean culture in the new era, we must start with strengthening theoretical arming. It can be seen from some cases of violations of discipline by party members and cadres that many people violate laws and regulations by deviating from their original aspirations and missions and their ideals and beliefs. It is precisely because the theoretical study is not tightly grasped, and the "screw cap" that abides by rules and regulations appear to loosen. A bottle of wine, a pack of cigarettes, and a card is regarded as "recitations", and a little, a little, and a little, as "human relationships". In the end, the accumulation of small amounts becomes more, and the accumulation of heavy is difficult to return to the abyss of corruption. Therefore, we must educate and guide the majority of party members and cadres to continuously strengthen theoretical armament, improve party spirit awareness, firmly establish a correct world outlook, outlook on life, values, and outlook on power, political achievements, and career, and internalize compliance with rules and regulations in the heart and externalize them in actions.

Full explore the cultural resources of integrity. In 2006, Comrade Xi Jinping wrote an article in the "Zhijiang New Language" column of Zhejiang Daily, pointing out: "Our cultural tradition contains rich cultural concepts and cultural practices of integrity." Our country's integrity culture has a long history and profound heritage. "Integrity is the foundation of politics", "If officials are not honest and fair, the governance will decline", "Integrity and shame are the great integrity of gentlemen", etc., all reflect the Chinese nation's pursuit of righteousness and righteousness. An important part of strengthening the construction of honest culture in the new era is to fully tap the integrity cultural resources in the excellent traditional Chinese culture. For example, the Nanping Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision of Fujian Province established a working mechanism to promote the excellent traditional culture of northern Fujian, created a Zhu Zi’s integrity cultural belt around Wuyishan National Park, and innovatively produced “picture, sound, books, and shadow” cultural products, so that honest culture can be learned and understood. To explore the resources of honest culture, the focus is on adhering to the unity of inheritance and innovation, and constantly giving the resources of honest culture in China's excellent traditional culture new era connotations and modern expressions, and to educate and guide the majority of party members and cadres to firmly establish the concept of integrity in a subtle way.

Enhance the influence of the communication power and influence of honest culture. The influence of a culture is reflected in both the appeal of content and the communication of effect. To strengthen the construction of honest culture in the new era, we need to do a good job in content construction, launch more high-quality cultural products with connotations and warmth and rich forms, promote honest culture into the mind and heart, and form a social atmosphere of integrity, honor, corruption and shame. For example, in Ju County, Rizhao City, Shandong Province, plays such as "The Four Knowledge Prefect" and "Liu Xie's Case" that spread the culture of integrity are very popular. These plays put the stage at the doorstep of villagers' homes, deliver the programs to the people, and promote the culture of integrity to the hearts of the people. In Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, art forms with regional cultural characteristics such as Qi Opera, Baoqing Bamboo Carvings, Beachtou New Year paintings, Huayao Wuwa Mountain Songs, and Wugang Silk Strings have become carriers of the construction of honest culture, allowing honest culture to take root in people's hearts in a more down-to-earth form. There are also some places that actively promote the digital construction of honest cultural resources, and promote the spread of honest culture in the new era farther, wider and louder in digital empowerment and informatization management.
