Ministry of Commerce: The relevant practices adopted by the EU in the investigation of Chinese enterprises constitute trade and investment barriers
On January 9, the Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement: In response to the application of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Foreign Trade Barriers Investigation Rules", the Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No. 28 of 2024 on July 10, 2024, and decided to investigate the relevant practices adopted by the EU in the investigation of Chinese enterprises in accordance with the "Foreign Subsidy Regulations" and its implementation rules.
The investigation is now over. According to the investigation results and Article 31 of the "Rules for Investigation of Foreign Trade Barriers", the Ministry of Commerce has determined that the relevant practices adopted by the EU in the investigation of Chinese enterprises in accordance with the Foreign Subsidy Regulations and its implementation rules have the circumstances stipulated in Article 3 of the "Rules for Investigation of Foreign Trade Barriers", which constitutes a trade and investment barrier.
