CCTV News: According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) recently approved the issuance of the national standard "Smart Bed" (GB/T 45231-2025). This standard will be implemented from August 1, 2025.

Smart beds use digital technology to achieve bed morphological changes and functional control, which can not only improve the convenience of people's home life, but also provide support for medical care, elderly care services, etc. This standard keeps pace with the development trend of intelligent and aging-friendly furniture products, and for the first time stipulates the technical requirements of smart bed products. First, clarify the appearance structure, flame retardant performance, limit on harmful substances, mechanical safety, electrical safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of users. The second is to propose general requirements such as child locks, operating speed, power supply termination, as well as specific requirements such as informatization and interactive control, and standardize product intelligent attributes. Third, the edges of the product's accessible area should be rounded or chamfered to improve the product's friendliness to special groups. The release and implementation of the standards will provide important basis for the design, production and processing of smart bed products, quality inspection and quality assessment, and promote the development of the smart bed industry to be more standardized, healthy and innovative.
