CCTV News: According to China Water Conservancy WeChat official account, from February 18 to 19, the Ministry of Water Resources held a rural water conservancy and hydropower work conference in Lu'an City, Anhui Province to summarize the work in 2024, analyze the situation and tasks, and deploy key tasks in 2025.
The meeting pointed out that in 2024, the high-quality development of rural water conservancy and hydropower has achieved obvious results, the "3+1" standardized construction and management model of rural water supply were fully implemented, the rural tap water penetration rate reached 94%, and the proportion of large-scale water supply projects covering rural population reached 65%. The national farmland irrigation development plan was issued and implemented, the five systems for agricultural water conservation and efficiency improvement were accelerated, and the modernization of irrigation areas was deepened, contributing water conservancy power to the national total grain output exceeding 1.4 trillion jin for the first time. Completed the task of cleaning and rectification of small hydropower in the Yellow River Basin; more than 41,000 small hydropower stations across the country have basically implemented ecological flow, and about 100,000 kilometers of dehydrated river sections have been repaired and reduced, more than 300 centralized control centers have been built, and more than 4,000 centralized control intelligent transformation power stations have been included in the centralized control, and the green development of small hydropower has been accelerated.
