CCTV News (News Network): Since the beginning of this year, the construction of a number of major projects and key facilities in the western region has been accelerated.
Development and opening up, transportation comes first. At the construction site of the Guangxi section of the Huangtong-Baise Railway, the landmark project of the Western Land-Sea New Pass, more than 2,800 builders seized the construction period and fought for the front line, striving to achieve the construction of all 33 tunnels in the Guangxi section in the first half of the year. The Huangbai Railway is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2028, and will become a convenient channel from the northern Guizhou region to the Beibu Gulf region of Guangxi.
The national key water conservancy projects are being improved at a faster pace. In Yunnan, the construction of the Honghe section of the central Yunnan water diversion project has been accelerated. As the largest water diversion project under construction in China, the trunk line of the first phase of the central Yunnan water diversion project is more than 664 kilometers long. After completion, it will effectively alleviate urban production and living water in central Yunnan, and directly benefit more than 11 million people.
Accelerate the cultivation of new quality productivity, and a number of new infrastructure construction in the western region is in full swing. As an important part of my country's "East Digital and West Computing" project, the Qingyang Data Center Cluster has built and put into operation 31,000 standard frames, with a computing power scale of 50,000 P. It is expected that the computing power scale will reach 100,000 P. by the end of this year, and will focus on serving the computing power demand in areas such as the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. At present, the local area has introduced more than 350 digital economy enterprises, including half of the leading domestic artificial intelligence enterprises.
In the construction of the national computing power hub node of the "East Number and West Calculation" project, several projects in Ningxia have started construction. In Yinchuan Economic Development Zone, the first phase of Zhongchuang Puhui Intelligent Computing Center project has entered the final stage and is expected to be put into use by the end of March. At present, Ningxia has built 9 large and super-large data centers and 25 data center projects under construction. The scale of the digital economy will strive to reach 220 billion yuan in 2025.
