The 1,165 traditional Chinese villages in Sichuan attracted more than 6.3 million tourists this year. 219 traditional Chinese villages in Yunnan held 367 various Spring Festival activities. Since the beginning of this year, going to traditional villages and personally experiencing the charm of rural New Year customs culture has become a new highlight and new trend in rural tourism. From the first day of the lunar month to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month this year, 47.2 million people flocked to 5,473 national traditional villages to watch folk performances, New Year lantern festivals, and experience various intangible cultural heritage cultures.

Traditional villages are also called ancient villages, especially those villages that were formed earlier, have rich cultural and natural resources and are worthy of protection. At present, a total of 8,155 traditional villages in my country can be protected, and 5,028 villages are included in the provincial traditional village protection list.

In recent years, as various places continue to promote the revitalization and utilization of traditional villages, industries such as leisure tourism, cultural and creative have developed rapidly, providing a broad stage for going to traditional villages to celebrate the New Year this year.

New vitality Young people return to traditional villages to start a business and develop

In the investigation and interview, the reporter found that in recent years, my country's efforts to protect traditional villages have been increasing, which not only attracts more and more young people to try to return to their hometowns, but also attracts many "new villagers" to try to start a business and develop in ancient villages. They are bringing new vitality to traditional villages with new ideas and new business methods.

In Liancheng, Fujian, the Bizhou Lanterns in Bizhou Village are known as "the living fossils of Southern Song lanterns and the peach blossom land of Hakka culture." Today, Bizhou lanterns are not only a traditional folk custom, but also an important carrier of cultural exchanges. As more and more people have watched Bizhou lantern performances in the village in recent years, many young people in the village have also begun to actively participate in lantern making and parades.

In recent years, many young people have chosen to return to the countryside to start their own businesses. They combine folk experience with modern life in a way that young people love, and have created special homestays and small shops, bringing new vitality to the business formats of traditional villages.

Anhui Hongcun has attracted millions of tourists with Hui-style architecture and the rural-like beauty of paintings. The addition of young people returning to their hometowns to start businesses has added many modern elements to this ancient village. From cultural and creative coffee shops to intangible cultural heritage experience, young entrepreneurs and intangible cultural heritage inheritors have used their enthusiasm and creativity to inject new vitality into this "village in the paintings".

New development Traditional villages strengthen the "Cultural Tourism +" brand

The Yuanjia Village located in Shaanxi Province is not along the border, nor on the sea or on the city. But it is such a village that relies on selling the "flavor of the countryside" and has now become the famous "No. 1 Village in Guanzhong". During this year's Spring Festival holiday, Yuanjia Village received 1.232 million tourists of all kinds, and the comprehensive tourism revenue exceeded 180 million yuan.

Now, Yuanjia Village's golden signboard is more than Guanzhong specialty snacks. All kinds of shops are now supported by the collective force of the village. All 62 villagers in Yuanjia Village have participated in more than 30 farmers' shareholding cooperatives, forming a development pattern of "everyone participates in shares and every household distributes dividends". At the same time, in recent years, Yuanjia Village has also gone out as a brand. In addition to opening 17 urban experience stores in Shaanxi, it has also built Yuanjia Village regional folk experience scenic spots in Qinghai, Shanxi, Henan and other places.
