A relevant person in charge of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced that the new energy storage manufacturing industry focuses on new batteries and other energy storage products and various new energy storage technologies as its main fields, including the production and manufacturing of power electronic devices, thermal management and energy control systems. In recent years, the market scale has continued to expand and the industrial chain system has accelerated its completion. An action plan is issued, aiming to build a growth engine such as new generation information technology and new energy, and promote the high-quality development of new energy storage manufacturing industries.
The action plan proposes six special actions, including innovation in new energy storage technology, promotion of industrial coordinated development, industrial transformation and upgrading development, expansion of demonstration application scenarios, improvement of industrial ecosystems, and upgrading of trade and investment cooperation. It clearly encourages the development of diversified new energy storage ontology technologies, supports breakthroughs in efficient integration and intelligent regulation technologies, focuses on multi-dimensional safety technologies throughout the life cycle, encourages new energy storage to participate in the power market with independent energy storage entities, and accelerates the establishment of a new energy storage battery safety risk assessment system.
The reporter learned that in the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will support the research and development of key technologies for new energy storage, carry out pilot demonstrations of new energy storage applications in multiple scenarios, provide convenient services to enterprises in the transportation of energy storage products, and promote the establishment of a carbon footprint certification system for energy storage lithium batteries and a full life cycle traceability management system.
