CCTV News: On February 17, all primary and secondary schools in Xinjiang ushered in a new semester. Kashgar area is located in the hinterland of Kunlun Mountain. Local traffic police formed a student protection team in advance to escort students in the mountainous areas back to campus safely.

Early on the morning of February 16, in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, police cars and school buses were waiting at the ride point early. They were going to send 1,857 students from the plateau with an altitude of more than 3,000 meters to Shenta Middle School in Shufu County, a plain area.

Students from Xihexiu Township, Yecheng County are also on the road to school in the new semester. Xihexiu Township is located in a high-altitude mountainous area deep in the Kunlun Mountains. Under the leadership of the police car, the bus that the students took was walking slowly on the winding mountain road. This section of the road is particularly difficult to walk. In addition to overcoming the problem of high and low oxygen, it also has to face extreme weather such as heavy fog and snowfall and hidden risks. When passing through the snow-covered and frozen section, the police got off the car first, eradicate the thicker ice on the road and let the vehicles pass safely. After a long journey of more than 200 kilometers, at 6 o'clock that night, 300 students returned to school safely under the escort of police cars.
