On February 14, the Chongqing Market Supervision and Administration Bureau reported on the investigation of gas charges in Chongqing Gas Group Co., Ltd. The notice stated that since the Chongqing Gas Group investigated and dealt with the problem of over-counting and over-charging of gas fees in April 2024, the company has failed to implement its rectification responsibilities, and there are still problems such as chaotic meter reading cycle, illegal estimation, wrong copying, and insufficient meter reading force.
In response to the previously reported issues, on February 16, Chongqing Gas Group Co., Ltd. issued an announcement. The announcement stated that the superior unit has dispatched a special rectification supervision team. At the same time, the relevant responsible persons and responsible departments will be held accountable.
