Cold air affects the northern region, and precipitation occurs from the eastern southwest region to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River

CCTV News: According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, during the day today, light to moderate rain occurred in Jiangnan and other places. In the next three days, there will be rainfall in the eastern part of the southwest region, Jiangnan, South China and other places, weak thunder and lightning will occur in local areas, and snowfall will occur in eastern Tibet, western Sichuan Plateau, northern Northeast China and eastern Inner Mongolia. Pay attention to the impact on transportation, etc. There are moderate or above meteorological droughts in South China and Yunnan, and are concerned about drought resistance and forest fire risks.

1. Weather real

Rainfall occurred in Jiangnan and other places

During the day today, light to moderate rain occurred in Jiangnan and Guangxi and western Sichuan Basin; light snow occurred in northeastern Inner Mongolia, western Heilongjiang and central Gansu; gusts of 6 to 8 occurred in central and western Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, northern Shaanxi, Shanxi, northwestern Hebei and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and some areas were 9 to 10; sandstorm weather occurred in some areas of the Southern Xinjiang Basin, western Gansu, southwestern and northeastern Shanxi, northern Hebei, and northeastern Shandong. At 14:00 this day, the temperature dropped by 6 to 10°C in southern Hunan, central and southern Jiangxi, and locally exceeded 12°C.

2. Key weather forecast

1. Cold air affects northern regions

Affected by cold air, from the night of the 15th to the 16th, the temperature in some areas of central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northeastern, northern North China, central and eastern Huanghuai drops by 4 to 6℃, locally exceeding 8℃; some areas of Inner Mongolia, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Northeastern region, eastern Huanghuai region and other areas will have northerly winds of gusts of 7 to 8.

Affected by cold air and strong winds, from the night of the 15th to the 16th, the PM10 concentration in some areas of central Inner Mongolia, northern North China and other places increased for a short time. In addition, there are winds of 5 to 7 levels in the Bohai Sea, southern East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, and northeastern South China Sea.

2. Precipitation will occur from the eastern part of the southwest region to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. From the 16th to the 17th, there will be light to moderate rain in the eastern part of the southwest region, Jiangnan, western and northern parts of South China, including heavy rain in southeast Guizhou, western Hunan, and northeast Guangxi. In addition, in the next three days, light to moderate snow or sleet, and local heavy snow will occur in some areas of northeastern Inner Mongolia, central and northern Northeastern region, eastern Tibet, central and northern western Sichuan Plateau.

3. There will be fog in some areas of northeastern Jiangnan

From the night of February 15 to the morning of the 16th, there will be heavy fog with visibility of less than 1 kilometer in the Qiongzhou Strait. In addition, there is heavy fog in some areas of central and western Zhejiang, central and northern Jiangxi, eastern Guangxi, and Leizhou Peninsula in Guangdong, and local areas with strong thick fog with visibility below 200 meters (see Figure 1). The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning for heavy fog at 18:00 on February 15.

3. Specific forecast for the next three days

20:00 on February 15th to 20:00 on February 16th, there will be light to moderate snow or sleet in some areas of northeastern Inner Mongolia, central and southern Heilongjiang, central and eastern Jilin, northern and eastern Tibet, southern Qinghai, western Sichuan Plateau, and other areas. Among them, there will be heavy snow in some areas of eastern Tibet and local blizzards (10-12 mm). Light rain will occur in some areas such as southeastern Tibet, northern Chongqing, southeastern Sichuan, northwestern and eastern Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, eastern Guangxi, eastern Hainan Island, and eastern Taiwan Island. There will be winds of 4 to 6 in some areas such as central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northern Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula, northern Anhui, and northern Tibet. There will be winds of 5 to 7 in the Bohai Sea, Bohai Strait, Yellow Sea, Taiwan Strait, Bashi Strait, and northern South China Sea (see Figure 2).

To be 20:00 on February 16th to 20:00 on February 17th, there will be light snow or sleet in some areas of the eastern part of the northeast, northeastern Tibet and southern Qinghai, southern Qinghai, northern western Sichuan Plateau, and other areas, including moderate to heavy snow (5-8 mm). There will be light rain in some areas such as the southeastern part of the northwest region, the eastern part of the southwest region, the western part of the Jianghuai region, the Jianghan region, the northern and western part of the south China and the eastern part of Hainan Island. Among them, there will be moderate rain in some areas such as central and western Hunan, southeastern Guizhou, and northern Guangxi, and heavy rain in some areas such as local areas such as heavy rain (25-30 mm). There will be winds of 4 to 5 in some areas of eastern Inner Mongolia, northwestern Heilongjiang, Liaodong Peninsula, Shandong Peninsula, central Zhejiang and other areas; there will be winds of 5 to 7 in the eastern Yellow Sea, East China Sea, Taiwan Strait, Bashi Strait, and central and eastern South China Sea (see Figure 3).

To 20:00 on February 17 to 20:00 on February 18, there will be light snow or sleet in some areas of central and eastern Heilongjiang, eastern Tibet, southern and western Qinghai, and northern western Sichuan Plateau. Among them, there will be moderate snow in some areas of eastern Tibet and heavy snow in local areas (5~8 mm). Light to moderate rain will occur in some areas of the south of the Yangtze River, eastern southwest, northern south China, etc., among which heavy rain will occur in some areas of northeastern Guangxi (25-30 mm). There will be winds of 4 to 6 in some areas such as central and eastern Inner Mongolia, northeastern region, and northern Tibet; there will be winds of 5 to 7 in the central Yellow Sea, Taiwan Strait, Bashi Strait, and central and eastern South China Sea (see Figure 4).
