Achieve mass production from "0" to "1" my country's robot industry takes advantage of the momentum to "broaden multiple points"

CCTV News: The robots dancing yangko on the Spring Festival Gala stage will be unforgettable for everyone. At the beginning of the New Year of 2025, the "intelligence" of humanoid robots has been given higher expectations, and the entire industry is also expected to usher in the first year of mass production. At present, my country has become the world's leading producer of humanoid robots. Data shows that the scale of China's humanoid robot market will reach about 2.76 billion yuan in 2024, and is expected to grow into a 100 billion yuan market by 2030. The global market also shows strong growth momentum, with the humanoid robot market expected to reach US$154 billion by 2035. Let’s follow the reporter to go to the Yangtze River Delta to experience the “acceleration” of robot companies.

This is the world's first heterogeneous humanoid robot training ground. There are more than 100 humanoid robots doing various trainings here, which can be simply understood as the training "technical school" before the humanoid robot formally "works". After the Spring Festival, work is also being resumed here at an accelerated pace.

As the first national training platform in the field of humanoid robots, the training ground has gathered more than 100 humanoid robots from 11 different brands and structures, which will effectively reduce the investment cost of technological development and solve the problem of duplicate infrastructure construction.

In a humanoid robot enterprise, assembly personnel are busy with the assembly and modular production method. It only takes one week to assemble and debug a humanoid robot. From toy robots less than 1 meter to industrial robots with a height of 2.3 meters, the company has independently developed several humanoid robot products, of which the largest mass production scale in 2025 is a 1.7-meter robot.

The industry generally believes that 2025 will be the first year of mass production of humanoid robots. The industry is breaking through the critical point at a super-linear speed and completing the accelerated run on the road from 0 to 1.

Embroidered intelligence "accelerates" the robot industry chain "broads on multiple points".

The embodied intelligent industry chain to which humanoid robots mainly includes upstream basic hardware, midstream system integration, whole machine development, and downstream application scenarios. The reporter visited the up, middle and downstream of the industrial chain respectively and saw that all links were running at full speed to achieve "acceleration".

Joints are not only the physical motion fulcrum of robots, but also the integrated embodiment of mechatronics technology. In a robot joint production company, the person in charge said that a humanoid robot usually needs to use about 40 joints, and lightweight and fineness are important indicators of joint products.

In an industrial robot research and development company in Hangzhou, several robots of different sizes are "on" working on the cables. They can replace human operations in high altitude and high voltage environments. The person in charge said that as a small start-up, with the rapid development of the industry in 2025, the company has also achieved good order expectations.

Not only the upstream joint manufacturing and the midstream power grid robot complete machine development, but also the downstream commercial applications of the industrial chain have attracted many corporate layouts. The head of a robot research institute in Hangzhou said that creating a body is only the first step, and it is still a long way from a robot with a smart "brain". Just a simple "pour milk" action requires collecting nearly 100 high-quality data for model training. In reality, the extremely different cups and different placement positions mean that the amount of learning will increase exponentially.
