CCTV News: According to the official account of "Industry and Information Technology WeChat News", in order to meet the needs of radar for economic and social development, improve environmental perception, disaster prevention and mitigation, observation and detection technology capabilities, strengthen radio management, and maintain air radio wave order, in accordance with the "Radio Management Regulations of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "Radar Radio Management Regulations (Trial)" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology No [2025] No. 22, hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations").
The "Regulations" are my country's first normative document on radar radio management, and will effectively promote the high-quality development of my country's radar industry. The "Regulations" first combine the actual use of radars in my country, technological development, and the resilience and safety of the industrial chain and supply chain, and cover 19 types of radars in seven categories and below 100GHz, basically achieving full coverage of the major types of radars in my country. Second, the frequency usage range and radio technical indicators of various types of radars are clarified, and a clear policy basis is provided for standardizing the development, production, import, sales and use of radar equipment. The third is to optimize the radar radio management coordination procedures, simplify the approval process, and effectively reduce the burden on users. Fourth, make clear provisions on radar interference coordination, electromagnetic environment protection, station inspection and equipment management, further standardize radar radio management and ensure electromagnetic space safety. The regulations shall come into effect on January 1, 2026.
In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will strengthen overall coordination, solidly promote the implementation of the "Regulations", fully stimulate the vitality of the domestic radar industry, ensure the standardized and efficient use of radar, and help the development of new industrialization.
