CCTV News: February 13th is the 120th anniversary of the birth of Yang Jingyu, a national hero of the anti-Japanese war. People from all walks of life and officers and soldiers of the army held commemorative activities to commemorate the heroes and draw spiritual strength to move forward.
In Tonghua, Jilin, more than 100 teachers from the Yang Jingyu Cadre College in Jilin came to the Yang Jingyu Martyrs Cemetery and the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Nations Memorial Hall to commemorate the heroes. During the 14-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the soldiers of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces represented by Yang Jingyu, faced the repeated sieges of the powerful enemies, and slapped the arrogance of the Japanese invaders. They strongly supported the national war of resistance, defended their homes with blood and life, and built the great spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces with blood and life. The Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces Memorial Hall fully demonstrates the Northeast Anti-Japanese Allied Forces' unyielding combat experience, combat scenes, combat results and combat life through more than 900 precious pictures, cultural relics, documents, diagrams, exquisite paintings and realistic scenes.

Wang Ying, director of the Teaching and Research Department of Yang Jingyu Cadre College of Jilin, said: "In the future, we will dig and make good use of red resources such as the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Nations, inherit the red genes, continue the red bloodline, and tell the stories of the party, the revolution, and the heroes."

The predecessor of a detachment of the Second Mobile Corps of the Armed Police was the "Yang Jingyu Detachment" of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Nations. On February 13, the troops organized officers and soldiers to carry out commemorative activities to pay tribute to the martyrs, invited old seniors to talk about war history and examples, guide officers and soldiers to understand the heroic spirit, and be determined to fight and strengthen the army.

Dai Boquan, a detachment of the Second Mobile Corps of the Armed Police, said: "We must consciously be the inheritors and promoters of Yang Jingyu's spirit, and use practical actions to be practitioners of Yang Jingyu's spirit."
