At an important node for the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei to enter a new decade, today (13th), Beijing held a press conference with the theme of "Deeply implementing the coordinated development strategy of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and promoting the high-quality development of the plain new city."
At the meeting, Yang Xiuling, director of the Beijing Development and Reform Commission, introduced that Beijing will comprehensively improve the comprehensive carrying capacity of the plain new city, including promoting the construction of more than 50 kilometers of rail transit lines and more than 150 kilometers of high-speed roads, and accelerating the formation of a half-hour traffic circle with the central urban area, the urban sub-center, and the surrounding areas around Beijing.
Pingyuan New City refers to the new cities and regions in Shunyi, Daxing, Yizhuang, Changping and Fangshan. According to the Beijing urban master plan, the planned urban and rural construction land and construction scale of Pingyuan New City account for about 40% of the city, and has formed multiple cross-border groups with the Beijing-surrounding area, which has great development potential.
Yang Xiuling introduced that five implementation plans will be formulated in accordance with the "one district, one policy", focusing on planning implementation, land use guarantee, industrial development, park construction, talent attraction, urban vitality, etc., and focusing on leapfrog development in the new city.
Shunyi will focus on international overseas, focusing on building an air-side economy pilot zone and an international new city for integration of industry and city;
Daxing will focus on opening-up reform demonstration, focusing on building a coordinated development demonstration zone and a prosperous and open national gate new city;
Yizhuang will focus on leading industrial innovation, focusing on building a model area for new quality productivity and a high-end industrial comprehensive new city;
Changping will focus on the integration of science and technology education, focusing on building a vibrant zone for scientific and technological innovation, and focusing on building a vibrant zone for future integration of industry and education;
Fangshan will focus on the integration of safe development, focusing on building a famous cultural area for integration of science and education, and a new city for new quality intelligent manufacturing industry.
