At the construction site of Mengdigou Hydropower Station in the Yalong River Basin, more than 50 large-scale engineering vehicles shuttle back and forth, and more than 4,500 builders are fully engaged in diversion tunnel projects, riverside roads and other construction operations. At present, 11 projects under construction are fully promoted, and the country's first integrated water, scenery and light demonstration base has begun to take shape.
In Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and other regions, the construction of the second and third batches of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases in my country is also accelerating, promoting the continuous optimization of my country's energy structure. Throughout this year, the new installed capacity of wind power photovoltaics is expected to reach about 200 million kilowatts, and the consumption of renewable energy exceeds 1.1 billion tons of standard coal.
At the same time, a number of major projects to improve the utilization rate of new energy are also being promoted simultaneously.
The first variable speed pumped storage project construction site in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and more than 10 construction tasks such as power station upper and lower reservoirs, underground factories, and water transmission systems are being carried out simultaneously. Now, in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Beibu Gulf Economic Zone, the construction of nine 10 million kilowatt-level pumped storage power station groups with a total investment of nearly 70 billion yuan has been accelerated. They will be put into production one after another starting this year, with a total installed capacity of 10.8 million kilowatts.
This year, a number of large and modern coal mines with high intelligence and security are accelerated. At the same time, we will promote the leapfrog development of deep-ground, deep-sea and shale oil and gas. It is expected that coal production will reach about 4.8 billion tons throughout the year, and crude oil production will remain above 200 million tons. my country's energy security foundation will continue to be consolidated.
