National Health Commission spokesperson Hu Qiangqiang said on February 13 that 18 provinces including Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and other 18 provinces have opened the "12356" psychological assistance hotline, and other provinces are orderly promoting related work and making every effort to provide the public with better quality and convenient mental health services.
At the press conference of the National Health Commission held that day, Hu Qiangqiang introduced that the National Health Commission will identify 2025 to 2027 as the "Year of Pediatrics and Mental Health Services", promote the expansion of mental health and mental health services, targeted popularization of mental health knowledge for key groups, and propose that in 2025, "at least one hospital in each prefecture and city provides psychological outpatient and sleep outpatient services"; promote the application of the national unified psychological assistance hotline 12356; and hold more than 5,000 lectures on mental health knowledge of national and provincial experts at national and municipal levels nationwide.
